More About DIY Depot – Barney’s

DIY Depot Barney’s started 25 years ago primarily as a paint store. In 2020, our store was revamped to include tool, plumbing and electrical ranges, and there are plans to increase our product range inthe future. DIY Depot Barney’s is a family-owned store, run by the owners Richard Sweidan and Jen Sweidan as well as, a close-knit group of floor and admin staff that have moved over from a previous paint and hardware store and have therefore come with years of experience. We have Khazi who works in the paint mixing department and is famous for his ability to match colours. On the floor, you will find Thobile, Max, Stuart, Ansie and Wynand, and in the office admin department, we have Anna and Luzanne. Richard and Jen Sweidan recently joined the DIY Depot Group, after considering a number of other groups as they found DIY Depot’s service and branding to be the best. DIY Depot’s reputation and communication with other stores gave the Sweidan’s the confidence they needed to join the DIY Depot family!

Our staff are incredibly knowledgeable and are always ready to assist with any projects or delivery requirements. We are also the only store that offers a Free recycling facility where you can bring your old plastic and steel drums bought from any store and they will be recycled. We source as much stock as possible from local distributors.

We offer free delivery within a 10km radius, with an unmatched speed and continuous communication with our customers.

We currently offer key cutting.

DIY Depot Barney’s also offers Evolution Finance to all customers, giving them the option to repay their loans based on their affordability and terms.

If we do not have an item in stock, we offer a same or next day delivery service, and if it is an item that we do not usually keep in stock, we will collect and deliver as quickly as possible.

Being a family run business, it is our mission to supply great customer service.

Any complaints or compliments can be addressed with the store owner, Richard, on 071 492 0677.
